The annual Service of Remembrance took place at St George’s Church, Arreton on the morning of Sunday 11th November 2018. As this marked the centenary of the end of World War I, the Parish Council held a lunch in the Community Centre afterwards. About 35 people attended and were served a ploughman’s lunch with tea, coffee or soft drinks, followed by generous helpings of cakes and puddings. The event was rounded off with a sing-song round the piano of songs of the period.
