This year there will be an amazing 13 gardens in Arreton open on Sunday June 9th, 11 am to 5pm, to raise money for Relate and St John Ambulance. There will be cream teas at St George’s School and a plant stall and cream teas at Haseley. The gardens are very varied, with two new gardens in the middle of the village which have been completely redesigned. None of the gardens are normally open to the public. To avoid congestion please start at either end of the village. Parking is free and will be signed as will the individual gardens. Entry is £3 50 for all gardens and children are free. The no 8 bus is hourly and stops at either end and centrally in the village. Do come along and enjoy the fun and visit Arreton Barns and the Shipwreck Museum at the same time, so plenty to keep you busy.
Relate is the leading couple counselling charity in England and money raised will help to support couples needing counselling on the Island. St John will be updating AEDs (resuscitation equipment) and other equipment with the money raised.
